At Hands of Hope America, we believe young people thrive when they have access to caring adults, meaningful opportunities, and a safe environment where they feel supported and encouraged. R.I.S.E. takes a whole-child approach, recognizing that success is influenced not only by academics, but also by emotional well-being, family support, positive relationships, life experiences, and opportunities to discover individual strengths.
Through age-appropriate programming, participants are encouraged to explore their interests, develop problem-solving and communication skills, practice teamwork, set personal and educational goals, and become more confident in their ability to make positive decisions.
Community involvement is an important part of R.I.S.E. Youth are encouraged to participate in service projects and activities that teach responsibility, compassion, citizenship, and the importance of giving back. Older students may also have opportunities to develop leadership experience and earn community service hours.
Families remain an important part of each young person’s journey. Hands of Hope America works to maintain communication with parents and guardians while connecting families with additional resources and supportive services when needed.
Our goal is for youth participating in R.I.S.E. to become more resilient, motivated, self-aware, responsible, and prepared for their future, with a stronger sense of confidence, purpose, and connection to their community.

After-School Tutoring is available for youth ages 7–16, from 3:00–5:30 p.m. at our Four Corners Community Center. Contact a case manager for enrollment information and availability.

The R.I.S.E. Youth Program — Resilience, Inspiration, Self-Discovery, and Empowerment — helps children and teens grow academically, socially, and emotionally through academic support, mentoring, mental health and wellness, leadership development, career exploration, life skills, enrichment activities, and community engagement.
Our youth programs are designed to equip, empower, and inspire young people by providing the guidance, resources, and opportunities they need to become confident, resilient, and successful individuals.
Through academic support and tutoring, mentorship, leadership development, community service, financial literacy, career exploration, college and career readiness, and mental health and emotional wellness support, youth are encouraged to discover their strengths, set meaningful goals, overcome challenges, and prepare for their future.
We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
