Hands of Hope America Community Center
At our centrally located Community Center just off U.S. Highway 27, Hands of Hope America provides a variety of programs and supportive services for individuals, children, and families during regular business hours.
Services include mental health support, financial stability and financial literacy classes, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), youth enrichment programs, and additional community resources and services designed to help individuals and families achieve greater stability and self-sufficiency.
Our R.I.S.E. After-School Program is offered on-site during the school year, with Summer Camp available during the summer.classes and more. Computer internet access and data entry/word processing capabilities on location.

Hands of Hope America Food Pantry
Hands of Hope America’s Emergency Food Assistance Program serves individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout Lake, Polk, Orange, and Osceola Counties. Our pantry is supported by generous donations from community and organizational partners.
Case managers are available on-site to connect families with additional resources, including ACCESS Florida/SNAP assistance, employment assistance, ESOL, financial stability programs, and other community services.

Financial Literacy
Comprehensive Financial Stability Program that includes Financial Classes, Coaching, Credit Restoration, and Income Tax Preparation. Because of the generous funding of the United Way of Central Florida, Hands of Hope America always provides our services free of charge. Incentive-Based Saving Program available ONLY to Polk County Residents.
Utility Assistance (Duke Energy)

R.I.S.E. Youth Programs
R.I.S.E is our over-arching group of programs focused on ensuring the youth of our community will be successful in the future. The childcare and youth empowerment programs at Hands of Hope America cater to children from infancy through adolescence, focusing on developmental, educational, and emotional growth. VITA Tax Preparation (seasonally)
VITA Seasonal Tax Preparation Services offers free tax e-filing and assistance with direct deposit to help clients properly file their tax returns with the IRS.
Resume and Job Application Assistance
At Hands of Hope America we know it’s important for you and your family members to get good jobs, to help the financial health of your family. We help you get that going, with assistance building effective résumés and properly filling in job applications.
Employment Assistance
There’s nothing more satisfying than to have a good job that allows you to earn enough money to take care of your family. We can help guide you through the various Employment Programs that are available for you as well as help with Resume writing and interview techniques.
